ABOUT THE FARM
Eassie farm has been in the family since the 1840s and for the past 30 years Sandy and Heather Pattullo have been growing sea kale and asparagus on the land. Eassie farm is the largest asparagus producer in the country, with around ten acres of land dedicated to the crop, and both sea kale and asparagus are highly prized by restaurateurs and locals. In fact, we supply some of Scotland and the UK’s finest restaurants with our speciality produce.
We sell both asparagus and sea kale direct from our farm shop when it is in season. Our asparagus comes into season from early May to mid June, and the sea kale is harvested from January to the end of March. During this time we also supply the fresh produce to restaurants, hotels and wholesalers.
Most of our asparagus is transported to London, where you can find it in Covent Garden and Borough Markets. In Scotland you can sample our produce in Gordon’s Restaurant in Angus, the Kitchin and the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh, Perthshire’s Monachyle Mhor and Little’s Restaurant in Blairgowrie.
Our asparagus comes into season from early May to mid June.
We sell our asparagus straight from the farm direct to restaurants, hotels and wholesalers during season. Our produce can also be bought direct from our seasonal farm shop during these harvest periods. We also grow and sell sea kale but to wholesalers only.
Our asparagus and sea kale are both widely regarded.
